While we are able to do any type of residential homeowner work, we primarily work on the following types of projects:
Please scroll down for a more detailed description of the above list.
We look at your home and property, learn about your various site problems and desires, discuss alternatives with you to learn your preferences and then design a cost-effective plan which will achieve satisfactory results.
We believe in quality, not cutting corners which will actually cost more in the long run, and we treat your property as if it were our own.
In the winter months we stay busy plowing snow, currently satisfying a high-priority commercial contract.
Typical problems we can help you solve include damp or flooded basements, wet lawn areas around the home, stormwater control of runoff from parking lots, roofs, and other sources, flood control berms, open channel drain cleaning.
Shaping your lawn as a sculptor shapes his work of art, we can fine-tune the grades around your home to ensure positive drainage away from sensitive areas, get rid of that annoying bump when you cut your lawn, or we can prepare rough grades and install topsoil for new lawns.
Turn that wet area on your property into a wildlife haven, whether it is by constructing a wildlife flooding or a wildlife/fish pond. Together we'll design and construct a home for fish, aquatic birds, amphibians, reptiles, song birds, small mammals, and even wildflowers on your property. We'll look at soil and hydrologic conditions, vegetation, site elevations, and will determine the need for permits.
Install rigid (natural boulders, rock, rip rap, concrete) or live vegetative erosion control measures to protect stream banks, dissipate stream energy, and to protect and beautify your property at the same time.
Replace that old, crumbling, dangerous wall with a rock-solid wall that will last and beautify your home and property, or eliminate the need for it altogether.
With our knowledge and experience, we will apply for a MDEQ permit for your project by drawing up the required engineering plans and drawings, attend meetings on your behalf, and be the contact person between you and the environmental permitting staff.
We will design and install flood diversion/control berms to protect your home and property from overland surface water runoff, minimize surface to groundwater infiltration, or keep stagnant water in low-lying wetland areas and away from your home.
We can turn the stormwater runoff from your property into an environmentally sound solution to control soil erosion and to construct a site of natural beauty to attract birds and wildlife.
