How It All Started

Dan Feldpausch has been working in the dirt since he was very young.  He temporarily left his machines behind in order to earn his bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan with a concentration in water hydraulics and hydrology.  In simple terms, this is the study of rainfall and snowmelt and the related water runoff and management of it.  Following college, Dan worked for the Department of Natural Resources and later the Department of Environmental Quality both in the Surface Water Quality and the Land and Water Management Divisions (now called the Water Resources Division).  In the year 2000, he decided to return to his "roots" once again to literally shape the earth while using his degree, diverse knowledge and work experience to be the chief operations manager of Feldpausch Excavators.

Dan is a licensed civil engineer and will find and implement traditional, time-tested and often innovative solutions to your problems, frequently related to water run-off and stormwater drainage.
